The most convenient entry from Hong Kong SAR to Mainland China is through Shenzhen Bay Port. To reach there, coaches and limo services are offered at the Transport Centre, Hall A of Arrivals Level (L5), Terminal 1. (Among
the providers, TIL Chinalink is good.) Once you get through the Shenzhen Bay Port, take a taxi (around 30 min, 50 CNY) from the
taxi station to the Genpla Hotel. Beware of scammers for car rides.
If you plan to spend a bit of time in Hong Kong, a recommended route is to take the Airport Express train to Kowloon Station (around 20 min, 105 HKD ticket at entry). The station is located in a mall, called ELEMENTS, with self-service lockers for rental up to 24 hours as well as coaches to the Shenzhen Bay Port (around 40 min, 52 HKD). These services can be found in the waiting area for Mainland coaches on the first floor of Fire Zone (here Fire refers to one of the "five elements"). From this station, you may go anywhere in Hong Kong by metro, or the Kowloon area itself is interesting to explore.
Since after IWoAT 2018, the bullet train between Hong Kong's West Kowloon Station and the Shenzhen North Station has become the most convenient route connecting SUSTech and Hong Kong, a mere 20 minute ride! Tickets need to be purchased separately and in advance.

There are two (slightly different) models running at the same rate: the blue minivan with white roof sign and the blue minivan with yellow roof sign. Both
are fully electric but the latter one is rated higher in terms of cabin quality and service (a local stimulus program). Each taxi driver should have GPS on their
phone and normally uses it. Make sure the meter is on, and ask for a receipt when you get off so that in case you forgot your belongings it'd be quick to get them
back.

SHARED BIKE
Shared bikes are convenient and available outside of Gate 1 of SUSTech (and elsewhere in Shenzhen), but you need to download an app in order to scan and ride them.
If you know someone going with you who has one on their phone, they can often scan an additional bike for you, as there are multiple apps for different brands
(blue, green, yellow).
CAMPUS BUS
It is complimentary to use the shuttle service and visit the whole campus. You can search for the WeChat Mini Program 你科手册 to check the real-time location and timetable of the campus buses.
There are boards, chalks, and printers on the six floors of the Math Department located above the conference venue. Everyone's welcome. Rooms M3009, M4009,
M5024, M616, and the commons room M712 are ready to use as long as there are not scheduled seminars or meetings. Feel free to ask for assistance with printing or copying in M4005. You may also send files to
Ms. Shen at shenly@mail.sustech.edu.cn and she will help you print them out.

Extends along the seashore and connects the two clusters of restaurants in Sea World, Shekou on the west and Happy Coast, Overseas Chinese Town on the east. Good for cycling, running, walking, or
people-watching. Particular attractions include the Talent Park alongside the iconic bullet-shaped skyscrapper (designed as a bamboo shoot).
This greenway, officially known as Dasha River Ecological Corridor 大沙河生态长廊, is a river trail good for walking, running, and cycling which connects the SUSTech campus
(adjacent to its upstream at Changlingpi Reservoir) all the way to the Shenzhen Bay (into the sea), through Peking University's and Tsinghua University's Shenzhen
graduate school campuses and past the conference banquet location at MixC World (a 40 minute bike ride).
The University also has several trails on the north part of its campus. In fact, the Shenzhen city, built out of a jungle some 40 years ago, has been reshaping its landscape with parks connected by trails. Ask a local for more info.
