Registration
All are welcome. However, due to space restrictions, we kindly need you to register.
Some financial support is available, including complimentary lodging for invited participants.
To register and to apply for funding, please write to
the organizers (iwoat@outlook.com)
before July 15, 2019.
Information for Visa, Travel, Lodging, and Special Needs
If you need a Chinese visa, there are two types you can apply for your visit: F visa (for academic trips) and L visa (for tourists).
(Both are good. Although F looks more relevant, if you are a U.S. citizen, the advantage for an L visa
would be the eligibility for 10-year multiple entry.
See NOTE 1 here for details.)
For the Chinese embassy in the U.S.,
information on how to apply, fees, processing time etc. can be found
here.
For a comprehensive list of the Chinese embassies and consulates general worldwide, see
here.
Information on transportation to and around the SCMS can be found
here.
For invited participants,
we have reserved a block of rooms free of charge
at the SCMS Guest House
(address: Shanghai Center for Mathematical Sciences, Jiangwan Campus, Fudan University,
No. 2005 Songhu Road, Shanghai, China) with dates of check-in August 18 and check-out August 22.
Please let us know if you would like an extension of your stay, in particular, if you
are planning to also participate in the summer school.
If you have any special needs (child care, dietary restrictions, etc.),
please contact the organizers (iwoat@outlook.com).
